CONCEPT RENDER

CardFrame is a display frame for trading card collectors. Hold a card up to its camera and it joins your collection. Your rarest pulls rotate on screen, full art, museum style.

Reserve for 19 EUR Fully refundable. Counts toward the 149 EUR founders price.

Scan to collect

Hold a card up to the built-in camera, it lands in your collection, sleeves stay on.

Rotating showcase

One card at a time, full screen, gallery transitions you can set per showcase.

Works with your apps

Import Moxfield, ManaBox, Dragon Shield, TCGplayer and Collectr exports.

AI art engine

Card art extended past the border with subtle motion. Purist mode included.

Scan to collect

Hold a card up. It's in your collection.

CardFrame has a camera where other frames have a logo. Show it a card: it recognizes the exact print, adds it to your collection, and queues it for the showcase. No typing, no spreadsheets, no risk to the card.

01

Hold it up

Keep the sleeve on. The camera reads the card in about a second.

02

Matched

The frame identifies the exact print against the game's card database: set, number, variant.

03

On display

The card joins your collection and the showcase rotation. Duplicates are counted, not re-added.

CardFrame is a refinement of working code, not a promise

industrial design: in progress

The hardware

One frame, one camera, one cable.

No hub, no base station, no app required to get started. Everything CardFrame does lives in the frame itself.

Camera

In the top bezel. Reads a card in about a second, sleeves on.

Portrait display

Card-shaped by design. Full-art showcase, one card at a time.

Easel stand

Shelf-ready out of the box. Wall mount planned as an accessory.

Wi-Fi + OTA

New showcase modes and databases ship over the air.

On-device queue

The showcase keeps rotating even when your phone is off.

USB-C

One braided cable at the bottom. That is the whole setup.

The showcase

A museum case, not a photo frame.

Binders hide your best cards. Toploaders gather dust. CardFrame puts the hits where people actually see them.

Full-art mode

The art engine extends the illustration past the card border to fill the screen, then adds quiet motion: drifting mist, shimmer, particles. Only for cards you own.

Purist mode

The untouched scan, centered, exact. For collectors who think pixels should know their place.

Showcase sets

Build rotations: the grail wall for guests, this month's pulls for you. New showcase modes ship over the air.

Bring the collection you already track.

Nobody wants to re-enter 4,000 cards. Import the exports your current tools already produce, then let the frame take over new pulls.

How the presale works

Honest presale. Real hardware takes time.

01

Reserve your spot

19 EUR holds one of 50 founders units and locks the founders price of 149 EUR (planned launch price 199 EUR).

02

Follow the build

Founders get the build log: prototypes, firmware, art-engine previews. You vote on which showcase modes come first.

03

Pay the rest at shipping

When your unit is ready we invoice the remaining 130 EUR. Not convinced by then? Refund, no questions.

The honest part: the product is in development. A working prototype exists; the industrial design does not, yet. Your reservation is fully refundable at any time, and if founders units have not shipped by June 2027, every reservation is refunded automatically.

Questions

FAQ

How does scanning work?

Hold the card in front of the camera in the top bezel. The frame captures it, matches the exact print against the game's card database, and adds it to your collection. Sleeves stay on. About a second per card.

Which games does it work with?

Pokemon TCG, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! launch with full scan databases; Disney Lorcana and One Piece Card Game run on community databases. Any other card, sports cards included, can join the showcase via photo capture. CardFrame is independent and is not affiliated with any card publisher.

Does it use my physical cards?

No. Your cards stay safe in their sleeves. You scan them once; the frame displays a digital showcase of the collection you own.

What exactly is the AI motion?

An art engine extends the card illustration beyond its border to fill the screen and adds subtle ambient motion (drifting clouds, shimmer, particles). It runs on cards from your collection only, and you can always switch to purist mode, which shows the untouched scan.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Scanning, imports and the standard showcase are part of the frame. An optional premium tier will fund heavier AI showcase modes later; the basics never move behind it.

When does it ship and what will it cost?

First founders batch is targeted for late 2026, and honestly, hardware timelines slip. Founders pay 149 EUR total (19 now, 130 at shipping). Planned launch price afterwards is 199 EUR plus the optional premium art-engine subscription.

How do refunds work?

Reply to your Stripe receipt email with the word refund. That is it. Full 19 EUR back, at any time, for any reason. And if we have not shipped by June 2027, refunds are automatic.
